The South Florida Water Management District announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.
DATE AND TIME: April 17, 2020, 10:00 a.m.
PLACE: Following the direction of Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Department of Health to avoid large in-person gatherings and promote social distancing, the public workshops will be online only. The workshops will be conducted through Zoom. Zoom is a free online meeting tool that can be used from a computer, tablet, or smart phone. The Notice of Workshop that was published on Friday, April 3, 2020, Vol.46/66, correctly states that the workshop will be held via Zoom.
Water reservation for the Kissimmee River and floodplain, and Chain of Lakes, in volumes, locations, and time of the year as is necessary for the protection of fish and wildlife and associated “Applicant’s Handbook for Water Use Permit Applications within the South Florida Water Management District” criteria.
The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the draft rule text and supporting technical document, which identifies the water needed for the protection of fish and wildlife.
