    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites the community to a public hearing about proposed safety improvements to US 41 at Lely Resort Boulevard. The proposed improvements include:

    Closing the existing full median opening, which allows all turning movements

    Modifying the median opening to a dual directional median opening, only allowing left turns. The US 41 northbound to left into Gridley Medical Building/Equestrian Professional Center and US 41 southbound to left onto Lely Resort Boulevard are the only permitted turns.

    Temporary median modification is anticipated in July 2015, with final construction tentatively set for October 2015.

    The hearing will consist of an open house from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., allowing people time to view displays, ask questions, and discuss the work one-on-one with members of the project team. There will be a brief audio-visual presentation about the project at 6:00 p.m. followed by a public comment period.
