    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Nursing has received the petition for declaratory statement from LeShanta Baker, on April 4, 2016. The petition seeks the agencys opinion as to the applicability of Section 464.003(20)(a), Florida Statutes as it applies to the petitioner.

    The Petitioner seeks a Declaratory Statement from the Board in regard to whether it is within the scope of practice of a specially trained RN as defined in Section 464.003(20)(a), Florida Statutes, to practice independently under the title Monitrice, which can be defined as a medically trained Labor Support Specialist that provides physical, emotional, and informational labor support as well as limited clinical services. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after the publication of this notice.
