    Notice of Publication for a New Point

    Franchise Motor Vehicle Dealer in a County of More

    than 300,000 Population

    Pursuant to Section 320.642, Florida Statutes, notice is given that Mazda Motor of America, Inc., d/b/a Mazda North American Operations intends to establish Direct V, LLC, d/b/a Kuhn Mazda as a dealership for the sale and service of Mazda automobiles and light trucks (line-make MAZD) at 3900 and 3934 West Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, (Hillsborough County), Florida 33609. The establishment is the result of a relocation and concurrent transfer of ownership from Hillsborough Motorcars, LLC, d/b/a Precision Mazda to Direct V, LLC, d/b/a Kuhn Mazda.  Precision Mazda Presently is located at 4636 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida 33614.  Concurrent with the ownership transfer, Direct V, LLC, d/b/a Kuhn Mazda will relocate the dealership from 4636 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida 33614 to 3900 and 3934 West Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida 33609.  Concurrent with the new appointment, the seller will cease to be our franchise dealer at the former location.

    Mazda Motor of America, Inc., d/b/a Mazda North American Operations intends to engage in business with Direct V, LLC, d/b/a Kuhn Mazda on or after May 9, 2016, assuming that no protest is filed.

    The name and address of the dealer operator(s) and principal investor(s) of Direct V LLC, LLC, d/b/a Kuhn Mazda are dealer operator(s): Jason M. Kuhn, 3900 West Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33609; principal investor(s): Direct Automotive Management, Inc., 3900 West Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33609, Jason M. Kuhn, 3900 West Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33609, JMK Automotive Holdings, LLC, 3900 West Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33609.

    The notice indicates intent to establish the new point location in a county of more than 300,000 population, according to the latest population estimates of the University of Florida, Bureau of Economic and Business Research.

    Certain dealerships of the same line-make may have standing, pursuant to Section 320.642, Florida Statutes to file a petition or complaint protesting the application.

    Written petitions or complaints must be received by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice and must be submitted to: Lance Ball, Administrator, Dealer License Section, Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Room A-312, MS65, Neil Kirkman Building, 2900 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0635.

    A copy of such petition or complaint must also be sent by US Mail to: Chris Crawford, Mazda Motor of America, Inc., d/b/a Mazda North American Operations, 4601 Touchton Road East, Suite 3100, Jacksonville, Florida 32246.

    If no petitions or complaints are received within 30 days of the date of publication, a final order will be issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles approving the establishment of the dealership, subject to the applicants compliance with the provisions of Chapter 320, Florida Statutes.
