    62-304.600: Tampa Bay Basin TMDLs
    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The Department is initiating rulemaking to establish Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) for the waterbodies in the Tampa Bay Basin. Pursuant to Section 403.067(6), F.S., TMDLs must be adopted by the Secretary of the Department by rule. Chapter 62-304, F.A.C., was established as the rule chapter within which rules adopting TMDLs shall reside. The verified list for the Group 1 Tampa Bay basin was adopted by Secretarial Order on June 3, 2008. The Department will accept written comments on the draft TMDLs through June 1, 2009. The draft TMDL reports are available on the Department’s TMDL website (http://www.dep.state.fl.us/water/tmdl).
