    61J2-3.008Pre-licensing Education for Broker and Sales Associate Applicants

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 27, 2020, the Florida Real Estate Commission, received a petition for variance or waiver submitted by Lisa Goyette, Bob Hogue School of Real Estate. Although no specific rule is mentioned in the petition, it appears that the Petitioner is seeking a waiver or variance of Rule 61J2-3.008, F.A.C. With the current State of Emergency regarding the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic and actions to limit gatherings of people and “social distancing,” Petitioner seeks approval to allow students currently enrolled in FREC approved courses to waive the one year rule requirement to allow the students to take the exams. The petition for variance and waiver will be heard at the May 19, 2020 Board meeting. Comments on the petition should be filed with the Florida Real Estate Commission, 400 West Robinson Street, Suite N801, Orlando, FL 32801, within 14 days of publication of this notice.
