REQUEST FOR BIDS # 17-004
REPLACEMENT AND RELOCATION OF AIRPORT BEACON
AT THE GAINESVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT
The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA) is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of “Beacon” project. The project includes the installation of a new Beacon Tower and Beacon Light, including electrical service connection. The existing Beacon Tower and associated equipment will be removed.
Complete sets of the bid documents including instructions to bidders, bid forms, drawings and specifications will be available via email beginning at 8:00 a.m., May 15, 2017. Bid documents will be provided in PDF format. The bid documents will not be provided in any other format, plan holders can order hard copy prints from the printing company of their choice. A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gainesville Regional Airport, Passenger Terminal, 3880 N.E. 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32609. A site visit of the project areas will be conducted as part of the pre-bid conference. Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory.
Bids must be signed by an authorized official, enclosed in a sealed envelope or package clearly marked: “Project No. 17-004 Beacon” and mailed or delivered to the Authority’s Administrative Office, Gainesville Regional Airport, Attn: Chief Executive Officer, 3880 N.E. 39th Avenue, Suite A, Gainesville, Florida 32609.
Bids are due at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 and will be publicly opened at that time. The official clock is located in the Authority’s Administrative Office. Bids received after 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017 will not be considered. Bidder must submit one original bid package, clearly marked “Original” and three copies.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to participate. The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
GACRAA reserves the right to reject any or all bids received in response to this Request for Bids as determined to be in the best interest of the Airport.
