    PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Florida Public Service Commission that Tampa Electric Company’s petition for waiver of Rule 25-6.064, Limited Alternative Rate Increase, Florida Administrative Code, filed on January 6, 2020, in Docket No. 20200011-EI, was granted by the Commission by Order No. PSC-2020-0108-PAA-EI, issued on April 16, 2020, and consummated by Order No. PSC-2020-0136-CO-EI, issued on May 8, 2020. The rule establishes a uniform procedure by which investor-owned electric utilities calculate amounts due as contributions in aid of construction from customers who request new facilities or upgraded facilities in order to receive electric service. A temporary 5-year waiver subject to the condition of annual reporting requirements was granted from paragraph 25-6.064(2)(c) for calculating CIAC for installing primary voltage power lines for electric vehicle fast charging stations. The petition was granted on the basis that the purpose of the underlying statute would be achieved by other means and application of the rule would create a substantial hardship for the temporary and limited purpose of the pilot program. Notice of the petition was published in the FAR on January 9, 2020, Vol. 46, No. 06. A copy of the orders may be obtained from the Office of the Commission Clerk, 2540 Shumard Oak Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32399-0850, (850)413-6770.
