    RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:

    65D-30.007Standards for Residential Treatment

The Department of Children and Families hereby gives notice:

An order has been issued disposing of the petition for variance from subsection 65D-30.007(9), Florida Administrative Code, from Cove Behavioral Health. The Notice of Variances and Waivers was published in Vol. 49, No. 76 of the Florida Administrative Register on April 19, 2023. Subsection 65D-30.007(9) states, with respect to residential treatment providers, that no primary counselor may have a caseload that exceeds 15 currently participating individuals.

The petition for variance was granted for one year because Petitioner demonstrated a substantial hardship and that the underlying purpose of the statutes will likely be achieved. The variance may terminate early if the Department determines that this creates an unnecessary risk to the health or safety of individuals in care.

A copy of the Order or additional information may be obtained by contacting: Agency Clerk, Department of Children and Families, 2415 North Monroe Street, Suite 400, Tallahassee, FL 32303 or Agency.Clerk@myflfamilies.com.
