    The State Board of Education announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: May 20, 2015, 9:00 a.m.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The meeting agenda will consist of approval of minutes of the State Board meeting held April 15, 2015. Updates will be provided on the 2015 Legislative Session and Digital Learning. Updates will also be provided by a representative of the Florida Association of District School Superintendents and President Jim Henningsen on behalf of the Council of Presidents. Items for consideration include action relating to the following: Amendment to Rule 6A-1.09412, Course Requirements - Grades K-12 Basic and Adult Secondary Programs; Amendment to Rule 6A-1.09414, Course Requirements - Grades PK-12 Exceptional Student Education; Amendment to Rule 6A-1.09441, Requirements for Programs and Courses Which are Funded Through the Florida Education Finance Program and for Which the Student May Earn Credit Toward High School Graduation; New Rule 6M-4.630, Statewide Provider Contract Monitoring Tool for the School Readiness Program; and New Rule 6M-8.615, VPK Training Requirements. Other items include: Approval of Commissioner Stewart’s Annual Evaluation; The Arts Academy of Jacksonville Preparatory School vs. School Board of Duval County; and Appointment of Chair.
