NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 05, 2010, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for an emergency variance from Kalvas Group, LLC on behalf of Florida Capital Bank Building in St. Petersburg. Petitioner seeks a variance of the requirements of ASME A17.3, unspecified sections as adopted by Chapter 30, Section 3001.2 Florida Building Code adopted by paragraph 61C-5.001(1)(a), Florida Administrative Code, which require speed controls. Petitioner states that the current financial situation makes installing this upgrade impossible.
