    The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 5:00 p.m. –7:00 p.m.

    Project Description: S.R. A1A at S.R. 520 Intersection from Brevard Lane to north of S.R. 520

    The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting a public information meeting regarding plans to improve the intersection of S.R. A1A at S.R. 520 from Brevard Lane to north of S.R. 520 in Brevard County.

    The proposed improvements include removing the free flow right turn lanes, realigning the east approach and extending the northbound dual left turn lanes. Also included in the project is the extension of the existing northbound left turn lane at the intersection of S.R. A1A and Canaveral Plaza Boulevard (Marion Lane), and various pedestrian safety improvements.

    The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22, at the Cocoa Beach Country Club, River Room, 5000 Tom Warriner Boulevard in Cocoa Beach. The meeting is an open house from 5:00 p.m. –7:00 p.m., and includes a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to inform interested persons of the proposed improvements and receive their feedback. Participants may provide comments during the meeting, by email or by mail. Written comments should be directed to Mr. Gene Varano, FDOT Project Manager, 719 S. Woodland Boulevard, MS 542, DeLand, FL 32720, or at the email address below. Comments mailed should be postmarked no later than Monday, June 4, 2018. All comments, written and oral, will become part of the project’s public record.
