GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Notice of Public Hearing and Intent To Eliminate Bus Route FLA 2 from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport at Dania Beach Station to Port Everglades.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at its meeting on May 22, 2009, the Governing Board for the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) will hold a Public Hearing at 9:30 a.m., to receive public input on the SFRTA’s intent to eliminate bus route FLA 2 from the Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood International Airport, Dania Beach Station, 500 Gulf Stream Way, Dania Beach, FL 33004, to Port Everglades. All interested individuals and/or groups are invited to attend this meeting and will have an opportunity to present their views and comments, or to comment in writing: South Florida Regional Transportation Authority, 800 N. W. 33rd Street, Suite 100, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. The following is a description of the proposed route to be eliminated:
Description: Route FLA 2 bus service departs from the Dania Beach Station to Port Everglades where it has seven stops in the Port and returns to the Dania Beach Station. It has 1 hour service frequencies during a.m. and p.m. peak hours Monday through Friday and operates all day Saturday and Sunday.

All written comments will be entered into the official records of the public hearing. Persons wishing to address the Governing Board are requested to complete an “Appearance Card” and will be limited to three (3) minutes.
Unless amended, this will serve as the final notice for the elimination of the FLA 2 Port Everglades bus route.
