NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board has received the petition for declaratory statement from JC Code & Construction Consultants, Inc., filed on May 11, 2020.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Rule 61G19-9.0045, F.A.C., as it applies to the petitioner.

With the current State of Emergency regarding the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic and actions to limit gatherings of people and “social distancing,” Petitioner interprets Rule 61G19-9.0045, F.A.C., to currently allow the use of video conferencing and /or webinars for programs approved as a classroom course. Petitioner seeks to confirm their interpretation, or in the alternative, institute emergency rulemaking as permitted to allow for use of video conferencing and/or webinars for programs approved as a classroom course. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
