PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this rule development proceeding is to seek public comments and proposals to develop the 2013 edition of the Florida Fire Prevention Code. Pursuant to Section 633.0215, F.S., the State Fire Marshal is directed to adopt a new edition of the Florida Fire Prevention Code every third year. The new code is scheduled to be adopted by rule during the upcoming two years pursuant to Section 633.0215(2), F.S. Dates, times and locations for workshops that will be held throughout the State will be announced in future editions of the Florida Administrative Register.
SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: The Department of Financial Services, Division of State Fire Marshal, is seeking written comments and proposals for Florida specific amendments to the 2013 editions of NFPA 1 (2012 edition) and NFPA 101 (2012 edition). The deadline for submitting comments and proposals will end on July 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Written comments and proposals should be addressed to: Casia Sinco, Chief, Bureau of Fire Prevention, Department of Financial Services, Division of State Fire Marshal, 200 East Gaines Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0340.
