The Florida Department of Transportation announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, May 24, 2016, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. open house, 6:00 p.m. formal presentation

PLACE: St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 5550 S. Sumter Boulevard, North Port, FL 34287

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation, District One, will hold a public hearing about design of median modifications on US 41 south of Sumter Boulevard. This design closes the directional left turn median opening into North Port Health Park and Wendy’s to allow for a lengthened northbound left-turn lane on US 41 onto Sumter Boulevard. The design adds a new directional left turn/U-turn farther to the south for access to the health park and Wendy’s from southbound US 41. Although FDOT is holding the hearing specifically for the median modifications, the public will also be able to view plans for widening US 41 to six lanes from Salford Boulevard to north of Sumter Boulevard at this time.
