TERMINAL EXPANSION – PROPOSED UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA) is soliciting sealed bids for the “Terminal Expansion – Proposed Utility Improvements” project. The work shall include installation of approximately 3,700 LF of underground water line via open cut and directional drilling, installation of approximately 400 LF of sanitary sewer line (gravity and force main) via open cut and directional drilling, the installation of a new sanitary sewer lift station and associated electrical work, installation of approximately 1,000 LF of empty 4” PVC conduit via open cut and directional drilling for future electrical work, relocation of trees and irrigation lines, modifications to existing irrigation systems, and related work.

A payment of Ten dollars and 00/cents ($10) will be required to purchase each set of the bid documents. Printed copies of documents will not be made available. PDF project plans and specification files, either on CD or sent via File Transfer will be made available.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gainesville Regional Airport, Passenger Terminal, 3880 N.E. 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32609. Attendance by all prospective bidders is strongly encouraged since part of the project occurs in a secured part of the airport and a security escort is required.  An escorted site visit of the project areas will be conducted as part of the pre-bid conference.

Bids must be signed by an authorized official, enclosed in a sealed envelope or package clearly marked: “Project No. 18-003 Terminal Expansion – Proposed Utility Improvements” and mailed or delivered to the Authority’s Administrative Office, Gainesville Regional Airport, Attn: Chief Executive Officer, 3880 N.E. 39th Avenue, Suite A, Gainesville, Florida 32609.

Bids are due at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 and will be publicly opened at this time. The official clock is located in the Authority’s Administrative Office. Bids received after 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 20 will not be considered.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to participate. The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

GACRAA reserves the right to reject any or all bids received in response to this Request for Bids as determined to be in the best interest of the Airport.
