    NOTICE TO CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS

    REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

    RFQ 17-30

    The University of North Florida Board of Trustees, a public body corporate, announces that Construction Management Services are needed for the new Student Assembly Center project to be located at the University of North Florida, 12000 Alumni Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224.

    Project information

    This project includes the construction of a new assembly building, support building and the associated site work. The building is intended to embrace the natural environment in which is it built by taking advantage of the lake and the surrounding area. In addition to the main assembly building, a separate support building will have an administrative office, restrooms, a dressing room, a warming kitchen for catering and storage room for tables and chairs. The assembly space will accommodate up to 250 persons and consists of approximately 3,500 square feet of enclosed space and approximately 3,000 square feet of adjoining covered area. The support building will be approximately 2,000 square feet.

    The project site is located to the southeast of the Adam Herbert University Center overlooking the existing lake. The project construction documents have been completed.  The building expected to meet or exceed the USGBC Silver certification.

    Firms wishing to apply for consideration shall submit a Letter of Application/Interest with the appropriate documents from RFQ # 17-30 titled Construction Management Services – Student Assembly Center.

    The Letter of Application should have attached:

    1. The most recent version of the “Construction Management Qualifications Supplement” completed by the applicant. Applications on any other form will not be considered.

    2. A copy of the applicants current Florida’s Contractors License from the appropriate governing board. An applicant must be properly registered at the time of application to practice its profession in the State of Florida. If the applicant is a corporation, it must be chartered by the Florida Department of State to operate in Florida.

    3. Seven complete copies of the above requested data bound and in the order listed above.  Applications which do not comply with the above instructions may be disqualified. Application materials will not be returned. Minority business participation is strongly recommended and supported by the University of North Florida.

    Blanket liability insurance will be required for this agreement in the amount of $2,000,000 and will be provided as part of the Basic Services (each, aggregate and per occurrence).

    As required by §287.133, Fla. Stat., a firm may not submit a proposal for this project if it is on the convicted vendor list for a public entity crime committed within the past 36 months.  The selected firm must warrant that it will neither utilize the services of, nor contract with, any supplier, subcontractor or consultant in excess of $15,000 in connection with this agreement for a period of 36 months from the date of their being placed on the convicted vendor list.

    Submit one original and six complete copies of submittals to the above referenced address. RFQ submittals must be received no later than 2 p m. on June 20, 2017. Facsimile (fax) or email submittals are not acceptable and will not be considered.
