PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To implement the Hope Scholarship Program, pursuant to section 1002.40, Florida Statutes. Specifically, this new rule will address the following: 1) Definition of an eligible Scholarship Funding Organizations (SFO) and an eligible private school; 2) school districts’ obligation to notify parents of the scholarship and the incorporation of the Hope Scholarship Notification Form (IEPC-HS1); 3) scholarship application process; 4) Hope Scholarship public school option; and 5) expected data and quarterly reports from SFOs.
