    59G-4.140: Hospice Services
    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this rule is to incorporate by reference update January 2006 to the Florida Medicaid Hospice Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook. The handbook update contains the January 2006 fee schedule for direct care services provided by physicians. The effect will be to incorporate by reference update January 2006 to the Florida Medicaid Hospice Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook.

    (2) All hospice services providers enrolled in the Medicaid program must comply with the Florida Medicaid Hospice Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook, October 2003, updated January 2005 and January 2006, incorporated by reference, and the Florida Medicaid Provider Reimbursement Handbook, UB-92, incorporated by reference in Rule 59G-4.160, F.A.C.  Both handbooks are available from the Medicaid fiscal agent’s website at http://floridamedicaid.acs-inc.com agent.  Click on Provider Support, and then on Handbooks.  Paper copies of the handbooks may be obtained by calling Provider Inquiry at 800-377-8216.
