Notice is hereby given that the Board of Medicine has received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed by Armando Augusto Falcon, M.D., on May 15, 2020. The Petitioner seeks a declaratory statement from the Board regarding the scope of examination required by Section 456.44, F.S. both prior to a course of treatment for chronic nonmalignant pain involving the prescription of a Schedule Il controlled substance and at second or successive encounters with the patient for the review and renewal of prescriptions. The Board will consider this petition at its meeting currently scheduled for August 7, 2020. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
