Board of Professional Engineers

The Board of Professional Engineers hereby gives notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on July 23, 2015, by Pedram Zohrevand. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Vol. 41, No. 146, of the July 29, 2015, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance from or a waiver of subparagraph 61G15-20.007(1)(a)2., F.A.C., and seeks licensure as a professional engineer by endorsement. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on August 13, 2015, in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The Board’s Order, filed on August 31, 2015, granted the Petition for a Variance or Waiver because the petition was in substantial compliance with the provisions of Section 120.542, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 28-104, Florida Administrative Code, the Applicant met the purpose of the underlying statute based upon his attempts to comply with the Board’s licensure requirements, and the Applicant has otherwise shown that the application of the rule would violate principles of fairness as applied.
