    61G20-1.001Florida Building Code Adopted

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To open the aforementioned rule for development to address the statutorily required triennial update process and “glitch” modifications. The Commission shall conduct a rule development workshop to accept public input regarding the approved modifications “supplement” to the selected edition of the model codes and the Commission’s Technical Advisory Committees review and recommendations concerning additional proposed “Glitch” modifications. The combination of the selected model codes (2012 International Codes) and the approved modification “supplement” comprise the 2013 Florida Building Code in conformity with the triennial update process specified in sections 553.73(3), (6), Florida Statutes. Local technical amendments to the 2010 Florida Building Code and continuation of previously adopted Florida-specific amendments will also be considered. The approved modifications “supplement” and the committee recommendation with regard to proposed Glitch modifications are available via the Commissions website, www.floridabuilding.org.
