Project Description:Lancaster C.I. Secure Housing Unit,
Trenton, Florida
The Department of Corrections, Bureau of Procurement and Supply, requests qualifications from construction management firms to provide services for the construction of a prototype Secure Housing Unit, and expansion to the existing wastewater and water treatment plants, at Lancaster Correctional Institution, Trenton, Florida. The total construction budget for the Lancaster project is estimated to be $15,350,000. Planning funds are currently available for limited Pre-Construction services and the remaining funds are anticipated to be funded beginning July 2008, pending Legislative appropriation of funds. Applicant must be a licensed general contractor in the State of Florida at the time of application. Further, if a corporation, the applicant must be registered by the Department of State, Division of Corporations, to operate in the State of Florida at the time of application.
The selection will be made in accordance with Chapter 60D-5, Florida Administrative Code, and the Request for Qualification procedures and criteria which may be obtained from Julyn Hussey at the address and phone number below. Firms interested in being considered for this project are encouraged to attend an information meeting at: Department of Corrections, Central Office, Second Floor, Classroom B, 2601 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, Florida, on June 10, 2008, 10:00 a.m. (EDT). To be considered, interested firms must submit an application in accordance with the Request for Qualifications by June 30, 2008, 5:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The State of Florida’s performance and obligation to contract for these services are contingent upon annual appropriations by the Legislature.
