NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Office of Financial Regulation has received the petition for declaratory statement from C2 Financial Corporation. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Chapter 494, Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.

The original petition sought a declaratory statement from the Office on whether Chapter 494, Florida Statutes would permit Petitioner to pay a referral fee to its California employee who performs no services for the prospective borrower except to provide the name and number of the counterpart in Florida without the need for the California employee to be licensed/registered in Florida. **On May 23, 2018, the Petition was withdrawn.
