    State of Florida Consolidated Plan

The Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) announces the availability of the Consolidated Plan for review by the public.

PURPOSE: To encourage citizen participation in the preparation of the Consolidated Plan for July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2020.

SUMMARY: The State of Florida has prepared its five-year Consolidated Plan for the grant programs funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The grant programs included in the Consolidated Plan are administered by four state entities: the Florida Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) by the Department of Economic Opportunity; the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) by the Department of Children and Families; the Home Investment Partnership (HOME) by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation; and the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) by the Department of Health. The Consolidated Plan includes an assessment of housing and non-housing community development needs in Florida and actions that can be taken to address these needs through the programs administered by the four state entities receiving HUD funding.

AVAILABILITY: The draft Consolidated Plan is available on DEO’s website at: http://www.floridajobs.org/smallcitiescdbg. A copy of the Consolidated Plan can be requested in person, by email, or via phone:
