NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 20, 2020, The Department of Management Services, received a petition for waiver of paragraph 60H-1.017(1)(a), F.A.C., from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV)

Nature of the rule for which variance or waiver is sought: paragraph 60H-1.017(1)(a), F.A.C., states that, among other requirements, DMS may approve a “build-to-suit” or “Turnkey Lease” after an appropriate procurement has been attempted by the prospective lessee agency and no suitable space has been identified. DHSMV requests that DMS waive the portion of rule 60H-1.017, F.A.C., that requires DHSMV to complete such a competitive procurement for existing leased space prior to conducting a procurement for space in a “build-to-suit” or Turnkey Lease.
