    64B20-5.005Requirements for Renewal of Provisional License

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: According to Rule 6B20-2.003(5), F.A.C., a provisional license shall be valid for a period of 21 months from the date of issuance, or until a license to practice Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology pursuant to Section 468.1185, F.S., is issued, whichever occurs first. The new language allows the provisional licensee whose license will expire prior to completion of all requirements of Rule 64B20-2.001, F.A.C., to renew the provisional license for an additional three (3) months. As a result, a provisional licensee may have up to 24 months to complete the requirements. Chapter 468.1155(4), F.S., requires that a provisional license may not exceed a period of 24 months.
