    INVITATION TO BID

    The State of Florida, Department of Military Affairs (DMA), Construction & Facility Management Office (CFMO) requests qualifications from State of Florida registered licensed General/Building Contractors (GC) and Architect/Engineering (A/E) Teams for Design-Build Services for the following project located at Sarasota National Guard FMS #14, Sarasota, Florida.

    FUNDING: The State of Florida's performance and obligation to pay under this contract is contingent upon availability of funding and an annual appropriation by the Legislature.

    QUALIFICATIONS SUBMITTAL DEADLINE: As stated in the advertisement on the Vendor Bid System.

    STATEMENT OF WORK: To provide complete for the design and renovation/alterations of the Sarasota National Guard Armory FMS #14 facility. The facility is approximately 8,000 square feet. The renovation/alternations work includes, but is not limited to, additions and renovations to the existing facilities (interior and exterior), site work/site improvement, concrete, masonry, steel framing and decking, cabinetry and finish carpentry, restroom and kitchen renovations, window replacement, new doors, new finishes, new roofing, new exterior coatings, new mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing system, upgrades for ADA compliance, and a new fire protection system.

    This building will be designed to meet Florida Building Code, State Fire Marshall, local Authorities Having Jurisdiction and Area Water Management requirements, and any other permits and fees required by other county, local or state authorities. Design and construction will include all utility services, information systems, storm drainage, parking, site improvements and will need to attain LEED Silver Certification.

    Regulatory permitting to include the preparation, submittal, payment and review coordination of the Water Management District, Environmental Resource Permit (including permit fees), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Notice of Intent (including filing fees), City of Sarasota, Sarasota County Review Permit Fee, and any other permits and fees required by other county, local or state authorities.

    The Department reserves the right to reject any and all submissions or accept minor irregularities in the best interest of the DMA.
