Small Cities CDBG FFY 2017 Application Preparation Workshop
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity will conduct a Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Application Preparation Workshop on June 27, 2018, for representatives of communities that are eligible to apply for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2017 funding.
The training session will cover the following topics: changes to Chapter 73C-23, FAC, eligibility and eligible activities, citizen participation requirements, defining service areas, surveying beneficiaries, procurement of professional services, requirements for Readiness-to-Proceed points, economic development, fair housing requirements and rejection issues. The training will also include a review of the revised CDBG Application for Funding form. The training will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, in the Madison Room, Florida Department of Transportation District 2 Office, 1109 South Marion Avenue, Lake City, Florida. Attendees should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the training session to obtain a visitor’s badge from the security desk.
