    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Pursuant to Section 120.54(7)(b), Florida Statutes, the Department of Elder Affairs announces a public hearing to discuss a Petition to Initiate Rulemaking filed with the Department by Douglas D. Adkins. The petition asks the Department to initiate rulemaking to determine if the Agency for Health Care Administration's alleged requirement for assisted living facility staff to "read aloud" medication or prescription labels in the presence of facility residents as a part of staff's assistance with the self-administration of medication is tantamount to an unadopted rule under Chapter 120, Florida Statues.
