    The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: June 14, 2017, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

    PLACE: Cape Coral Public Library, 921 SW 39th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33914

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Commission will present information and gather public input for the development of Conservation Measures and Permitting Guidelines for the Florida Burrowing Owl. FWC staff will provide information on the protections that apply to burrowing owls, the process of developing Conservation Measures and Permitting Guidelines, and the interim permitting process until guidelines for this species are in place. The meeting has an open house format, so the public can come and go at their preference. The meeting will provide the public an opportunity to see information and talk with staff. They may ask questions, provide written feedback and offer suggestions to staff about the development of guidelines.
