NOTICE TO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FIRMS - OFFICE OF FACILITIES DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION - Request for Qualifications (RFQ) - OFDC-RFQ-005-13- Construction Management Services/Date of Publication – May 31, 2013.
The Office of Facilities Design and Construction announces that Construction Management services are required for the following project: Project Number/Title: C-91590 – Building Addition at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts No. 107, 2445 San Diego Road, Jacksonville, FL 32207. RFQ responses are due on or before July 2, 2013 and will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Scope of Work: The project is for Construction Management Services for construction of a new building for a cafeteria and twenty (20) classrooms; remodeling the existing cafeteria; relocation of existing portables and site utilities; and sitework for new parking and parent drop-off at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts No. 107. The estimated construction budget is "Budgeted Not to Exceed" $13,500,000. The selected Construction Manager’s services will include preconstruction services including value engineering, constructability analysis, development of a cost model, and estimating and development of a Guaranteed Maximum Price at the applicable Construction Document phase. Selection of firms will be made on the basis of construction manager qualifications in accordance with the criteria outlined in the DCPS manual for the Selection of the Construction Manager. The Construction Manager must have previous experience with projects of similar size and scope with emphasis on active campus construction projects. The selected firm shall be required to execute the Duval County School Board standard form of agreement.
All firms submitting proposals shall be required to be pre-qualified with Duval County Public Schools prior to the RFQ due date. Firms who are not approved as a pre-qualified bidder will not be considered for award.
