GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Commission will consider proposed amendments to Chapter 62-701, Solid Waste Management Facilities. The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking was published on January 20, and was considered by the Commission at a public hearing on February 16, 2012. This hearing was continued until May 17 in order to consider several modifications to the proposed amendments. The Department intends to propose one significant amendment regarding container-to-container transfer stations, and will also propose several new amendments necessary to implement recent statutory changes regarding permit duration.
