    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling has received the petition for declaratory statement from Mary Beth Ridderman, filed on April 27, 2016. The petition seeks the agencys opinion as to the applicability of Section 491.003(9), Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.

    The Petitioner requests that the Board define Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) and Pet Therapy as mental health counseling services and that those therapies be listed as mental health counseling services in Section 491.003(9), F.S., which defines mental health counseling services. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after the publication of this notice.
