    The Department of Health, Community Health Promotion, Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing announces public meetings to which all persons are invited.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (FCCDHH) is mandated by Florida Statute 413.271 to serve as an advisory and coordinating body which recommends policies that address the needs of Florida’s community who are deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened or have combined hearing and vision loss. The purpose of the Quarterly Council Meeting will be to discuss the open seat on the Florida Building Commission, receive presentations and hold a general Council discussion as well as share updates. The presentations are as follows: Thursday, May 11: Center for Hearing and Communication (11:00 am – 12:00 Noon) and a Deaf/Blind Awareness Activity and Presentations (1:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.).; Friday, May 12: Deaf Services – a presentation regarding their program at Gulfstream Goodwill Industries (10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.).
