GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Security First Insurance Company has requested a 49% average statewide rate increase with regard to homeowners policies. The requested rate increase is not uniform and some areas are subject to a higher rate increase. Florida law allows the Office of Insurance Regulation to hold a public hearing for any purpose within the scope of the Insurance Code deemed to be necessary.
