PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To provide the opportunity for students to earn a new comparative score for the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) Algebra 1 End-of-Course (EOC) Assessment. Section 1008.22(10), F.S., provides authority to the State Board of Education to adopt in rule passing scores that are comparable to the Algebra 1 EOC assessment. The effect of this change will allow the Department of Education to codify a passing score on the Geometry EOC assessment as a comparative score for the Algebra 1 EOC assessment graduation requirement in rule.
