    Notice of Proposed Ordinance

    In accordance with Section 337.401(3)(d), FS, notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Oldsmar, Florida, will hold public hearings for the first reading on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, and second reading on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in Oldsmar Council Chamber for the purpose of adopting a proposed ordinance governing a telecommunications company placing or maintaining telecommunications facilities in its roads or rights-of-way.

    DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, May 15, 2018, 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 7:00 p.m.

    PLACE: Oldsmar Council Chamber, 101 State Street West, Oldsmar, FL 34677

    SUBJECT: ORDINANCE NO. 2018-04

    AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO DEPLOYMENT OF COMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE; AMENDING CHAPTER 58 OF PART I OF THE OLDSMAR CITY CODE CONCERNING RIGHT-OF-WAY USE BY UTILITIES AND COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES AND CREATING PROVISIONS FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY USE BY SMALL AND MICRO CELL FACILITIES; AMENDING ARTICLE XIV OF PART III OF THE OLDSMAR LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE CONCERNING TELECOMMUNICATIONS ANTENNAS AND TOWERS; PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS; MAKING RELATED FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

    Interested parties may appear at the Council Meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. The proposed ordinance and background materials are available at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 100 State Street, Oldsmar, Florida 34677, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interested parties may appear to be heard or file written notice of approval or objection with the Planning and Redevelopment Office at the address listed above prior to the meeting. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board, Agency or Commission with respect to any matter discussed at such meeting or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made. Verbatim transcripts are not furnished by the City. Arrangements should be made in advance should a verbatim transcript be required (i.e., Court reporter).
