    Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board

The Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board hereby gives notice:

that on May 15, 2018, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance and Waiver. The Petition for Variance and Waiver was filed by Richard Edward Hood, on February 27, 2018, seeking a variance or waiver from subparagraph 61J1-6.001(5)(a)2., F.A.C., so that the restricted-use appraisals of commercial, single-family residences, and vacant land properties he has performed as an employee of the Department of Revenue will be allowed to support his application for an upgrade to certified general appraiser. The Notice was published in Volume 44, No. 56, of the Florida Administrative Register, on March 15, 2018. The Board, at its meeting held on April 9, 2018, voted to grant the Petition for Variance and Waiver finding that the Petitioner demonstrated a substantial hardship; that application of the rule would violate the principles of fairness; and that the purpose of the underlying statute has been met.
