    59G-6.045Payment Methodology for Services in Facilities Not Publicly Owned and Publicly Operated (Facilities Formerly Known as ICF-MR/DD Facilities)

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of the amendment to Rule 59G-6.045, F.A.C., is to incorporate by reference the Florida Title XIX Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded and Developmentally Disabled Reimbursement Plan for Facilities Not Publicly Owned and Not Publicly Operated (Formerly Known As ICF-MR/DD Facilities), Version X, effective July 1, 2014 (the Plan). The amendment will update the Plan to reflect changes to the payment methodology for services in facilities not publicly owned and publicly operated as authorized in House Bill 5001, 2014-15 General Appropriations Act, Specific Appropriation 240, as follows:

    1. $37,218,964 is provided to buy back intermediate care facilities rate reductions, effective on or after October 1, 2008.

    2. Reimbursement rates for intermediate care facilities will be set July 1 of each year.

    3. Editorial and technical changes to remove obsolete language and reorganize existing language.

    SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Payment Methodology for Services in Facilities Not Publicly Owned and Publicly Operated (Facilities Formerly Known as ICF-MR/DD Facilities).

    An additional area to be addressed during the workshop will be the potential regulatory impact the amendment to Rule 59G-6.045, F.A.C., will have as provided for under Sections 120.54 and 120.541, F.S.
