NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 04, 2019, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Sarasota Memorial Hospital at 1700 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL. Petitioner seeks a variance of the requirements of Rule 2.8.1.2, ASME A17.1, 2010 edition that requires only such pipes, wiring, and ducts used in direct connection with the elevator are permitted to be installed in the machine room or machinery spaces which creates a hardship.
