NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 1, 2020, the Department of Environmental Protection, received a petition for variance or waiver pursuant to section 120.542, F.S. from Sarasota County. The petition requested a variance from the rule provisions of subparagraphs 62D-15.008(3)(a)l, 62D-15.008(3)(a)5, 62D-15.008(3)(a)6, and 62D-15.008(3)(a)7, F.A.C., to allow an approximately 365 square foot public kayak launch site to provide recreational access to people with disabilities and in order to adhere to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The parcel is located on the Myakka River at 4076 Venice Avenue, Venice, FL 34292. The petition has been assigned OGC #20-0947.
