    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is holding a public information meeting regarding improvements to US 41 from Salford Boulevard to Sumter Boulevard in North Port, Florida. The public meeting is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the North Port Public Library Juliano Room, 13800 Tamiami Trail, North Port, Florida 34287. FDOT will hold this meeting to give interested persons the opportunity to talk one-on-one with staff and make comments about the project.

     

    The project includes widening US 41 to a six-lane highway, removing old asphalt and resurfacing the roadway, improving drainage, constructing sidewalk, installing new highway lighting, and new signing and pavement markings. The $10.1 million project begins late June/early July and completion expected in spring 2019.
