NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 9, 2016, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Lake Worth Towers at 1500 Lucerne Ave, Lake Worth, FL. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.3, Sections 3.11.3 and 2.7.4, 1996 edition, and ASME A17.1, Sections 8.11.2.1.1(c) and 8.11.2.1.4 (b), 2005 edition, as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code that requires upgrading the elevators with firefighters’ emergency operations which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
