    The Florida Department of Environmental Protection announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: July 17, 2017, 3:00 p.m.

    PLACE: St. Johns River Water Management District, DHQ-Governing Board-Executive Bldg, 4049 Reid Street, Palatka, Florida

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To receive public comments on draft nutrient total maximum daily loads (TMDLs) for impaired waters in the Middle St. Johns River Basin TMDLs, to be adopted in Rule 62-304.505, F.A.C. These nutrient TMDLs, if adopted, will constitute site specific numeric interpretations of the narrative nutrient criterion set forth in paragraph 62-302.530(90)(b), F.A.C., that would replace the otherwise applicable numeric nutrient criteria in subsection 62-302.531(2), F.A.C., for these particular waters. The TMDLs to be presented at the public workshop include nutrient TMDLs for Lake George (2893A), St. Johns River below Lake George (2893A5), and St. Johns River above Ocklawaha River (2213O). Draft reports for these TMDLs will be posted on the Department’s TMDL webpage (http://dep.state.fl.us/water/tmdl/draft_tmdl.htm) no later than June 16, 2017, for public review. Written comments on these TMDLs, as well as the establishment of these nutrient TMDLs as site specific interpretations of the narrative nutrient criteria will be accepted by the Department through July 28, 2017.
