The E911 Board hereby gives notice:

of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver filed by Walton County, on April 25, 2017. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Vol. 43, No. 246, of the April 26, 2017, Florida Administrative Register. The Petitioner sought a variance or waiver of paragraph 60FF1-5.002(3)(a), F.A.C., with respect to the rule requiring the grant application package, including the submission of the quote, be post marked or delivered on or before April 1st. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on May 17-18, 2017. The Boards Order, filed on June 1, 2018, grants the Petition for Variance or Waiver, finding that the underlying statute has been achieved by submission of the quote. Additionally, Petitioner has demonstrated that failure of the E911 Board to consider Martin County’s application would cause a substantial hardship. Based upon the foregoing, the Board determined that Petitioner is eligible for a variance or waiver of Section 60FF1-5.002(3)(a), F.A.C. The quote shall be considered as having been timely filed with the application.
