    The Department of Transportation, District One announces a public hearing to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIMES: Tuesday, July 10, 2007, 4:00 p.m.; open house, 3:00 p.m.

    PLACE: Benedetto’s at The Best Western Waterfront, 300 Retta Esplanade, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: To afford interested persons the opportunity to express their views concerning the Corridor Access Management Plan (CAMP) for U.S. 41 through Charlotte County (from the Lee County line to the Sarasota County line). The CAMP defines the spacing, location, and design of driveways and median openings.

    A copy of the CAMP is available for viewing at the City of Punta Gorda – Public Works, Charlotte County – Engineering, Charlotte-Punta Gorda Metropolitan Planning Organization and at www.ccmpo.com/new plans.htm.
