NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 13, 2023, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Lake Eola Charter School at 135 N Magnolia Ave, Orlando, FL. Petitioner seeks a variance of the requirements of ASME A17.3, 2015 edition, Section 3.10.12, as adopted by 61C-5.001, Florida Administrative Code that requires a system to monitor and prevent automatic operation of the elevator with faulty door contact circuits, which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
