    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 10, 2014, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for Lake Worth Towers. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.3, Section 3.11.3 and 2.7.4 and ASME A17.1, Section 8.11.2.1.1(c) and 8.11.2.1.4(b) as adopted by subsection 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code, that requires upgrading the elevators with firefighters’ emergency operations, restricted opening of hoistway doors and/or car doors on passenger elevators and operating control devices and hoistway doors which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
